TUESDAY: LT. GOV. WYMAN ATTENDS EVENTS IN HARTFORD, FARMINGTON, PLANTSVILLE

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Tuesday, Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman will make welcoming remarks to the participants of the Connecticut Commission on Children's annual Parent Leadership Conference.

Later, the Lt. Governor will join members of Connecticut's Congressional delegation at a press conference to celebrate the release of over $375,000 in federal funding to provide permanent housing to homeless veterans in the Hartford area. Connecticut received a total award of $475,900 in vouchers to help 54 of the state's homeless veterans find permanent supportive housing.

In the afternoon, Lt. Governor Wyman will join Governor Dannel P. Malloy and representatives of the Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine at their grand opening and dedication ceremony. The facility is anticipated to grow hundreds of jobs in the bioscience field throughout the region.

In the evening, she will make remarks at the annual Connecticut Women's Education and Legal Fund awards event "One Woman Makes a Difference".
