FRIDAY, APRIL 8: LT. GOVERNOR WYMAN TO WELCOME
NATIONAL GUARD TROOPS RETURNING FROM KOSOVO
HARTFORD - Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman on Friday will welcome home a contingent of Connecticut National Guard troops returning from duty in Kosovo.
The 130 th Public Affairs Detachment will arrive at the William A. O'Neill Armory in Hartford at approximately 10:30 a.m. to be greeted by family members, Lt. Gov. Wyman and other officials.
The eight-member detachment, based in Waterbury, left Connecticut in April 2010 and traveled to Kosovo after receiving training in Indiana. The troops performed news production and news release activities, media relations and other information programs for the Multi-National Battle Group - East.
