The Connecticut State Department of Education is making available a four-part webinar series to any teacher preparation candidate in a planned program of teacher preparation or faculty members to ensure that candidates receive training on the basic foundational information about dyslexia pursuant to Public Act 15-97
The State Board of Education's role includes guiding and supervising Connecticut's pre-K-12 system. Duties include setting policy, preparing legislation and setting academic standards. Citizens can learn about the board's long-term plans, find meeting dates and read minutes from past meetings.
The process begins before the start of the new school year with the superintendent identifying the instructional priorities for the district, which informs the instructional priorities of each school and thus informs the administrator’s student learning priorities. Teacher then examine their own student data and set goals to address the learning priorities identified by their administrators.
