The Regional School Choice Office (RSCO) invites you to learn about the unique, high-quality public school choice options for Connecticut students entering Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12 in the Greater Hartford Region through Interdistrict Magnet Schools, the Open Choice Program, Hartford Region Technical High Schools, and the Agricultural Science and Technology Education Centers. 2022-23 School Year Placement Updates (Updated: May 10, 2022)
CTECS Placement Announcements for AI Prince, EC Goodwin, and Howell Cheney
RSCO sent placement notifications by email and text messing to families that to the Hartford Region Technical High Schools, A.I. Prince, E.C. Goodwin and Howell Cheney, through the RSCO School Choice application. If your child received a placement offer notification, please respond and accept the offer by Monday, May 16, 2022 at 11:59 pm.

RSCO continues to offer placements to students through the spring and summer, as seats become available until September 30, 2022.
There is Still Time to Apply for the 2022-23 School Year Using the RSCO Late Application!
Families with students entering Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12 who missed the February 28, 2022 on-time deadline still have the opportunity to apply to RSCO Interdistrict Magnet Schools, Open Choice Programs, and Hartford Region Technical High Schools through September 15, 2022. RSCO offers a broad variety of school choice opportunities that empower families to choose opportunities for their students and to enable student success.
New RSCO Process Coming Soon!
In late May, RSCO is implementing a new process to increase changes of a placement in a choice school! Families who have not received a placement offer will have the option to add schools and programs to their child's application for the 2022-23 school year. Schools will be categorized by long, medium, and short waitlist, and families will be able to choose schools with short waitlist to increase the likelihood of a placement! Use the resources on the RSCO Virtual Fair Website to explore all the options and discover new schools that could be a great fit for your child.
