Connecticut Open Review Period for Reading Curricula Models and/or Programs

Purpose: The CSDE has established an open review period from May 4, 2022–May 25, 2022, to assist in the identification of Connecticut reading curricula models and/or programs. During the open review period, districts and publishers may submit recommendations for Grades Pre-Kindergarten–3 reading curricula models and/or programs to be considered for review by the CSDE, in consultation with the Reading Leadership Implementation Council. Based on their review, the CSDE will present at least five reading curricula models or programs to the Connecticut State Board of Education (Board) for review and consideration of approval.

Career and Technical Education Secondary Supplemental Enhancement Grant 2022  Word version 

Purpose: The supplemental enhancement concept was created to assist Perkins V secondary recipients in offering programs, practices, and strategies that prepare individuals for nontraditional fields and/or promote the development, implementation, and adoption of programs of study or career pathways aligned with State-identified high-skill, high-wage, or in-demand occupations or industries.

Purpose: The Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) supports Connecticut’s low-performing K-12 public schools by providing grants-in-aid for alterations, repairs, improvements, technology, and equipment as well as technology infrastructure improvement, targeted local and regional school district capitalized alterations, repairs, improvements to address school site opportunities that promote learning, health and safety for all children in high-quality facilities and 21st century educational environments.
