edTPA Voluntary Pilot

The edTPA is a student-centered, multiple measures assessment of pre-service teaching competence. It is aligned to state and national teaching standards and is designed to measure knowledge and skills in the areas of student development, learning, instruction, assessment, and professional roles and responsibilities. Candidates in seven educator preparation programs in Connecticut, including public, private, and alternate routes to certification, are participating in a pilot of the edTPA in the 2015-2016 academic year*.
