Part Time Starting Salary $26.00 per hour. Evening Shift Differential - $2.00 per hour. The Town of Somers is currently accepting applications from POSTC certified Police Officers or certified Connecticut State Troopers who are interested in a comparative compliance/ lateral transfer for the position of Somers Police Officer. This is an evening/ midnight shift position. Candidates must be available to work nights and weekends. Candidates will be required to successfully complete a written examination, oral interview, and background investigation. Successful candidates will then undergo polygraph, psychological, drug screening and physical examinations. Please see the Position Description for more detail and qualifications.
