The Branford Police Department, as part of its ongoing hiring campaign, is seeking Connecticut P.O.S.T Certified Officers to fill current and anticipated full time patrol officer vacancies.  Starting salary for CT certified officers is currently grade “A” step of $82,340.  All Candidates will be required to successfully complete a written examination, oral interview, the current P.O.S.T physical assessment (Cooper Test) and a Chief's interview.  In addition, candidates must successfully pass a background investigation, polygraph, psychological and medical examination including drug screening.
