Governor Lamont Announces Global Atlantic Financial Group Is Expanding Operations and Adding Jobs in Hartford
Governor Ned Lamont today announced that Global Atlantic Financial Group, a leading insurance company meeting the retirement and life insurance needs of individuals and institutions, is growing its operations in Hartford in an expansion plan that includes leasing an additional 11,500 square feet of office space to support approximately 100 new employees.

Governor Lamont: Health and Safety Guidance for Those Attending the 2023 Connecticut Inauguration Events
To help minimize the chances of spreading COVID-19, the flu, RSV, and other respiratory illnesses that are circulating in the community at this time of year, Governor Ned Lamont today shared the following health and safety guidance developed by the Connecticut Department of Public Health for those who plan on attending tomorrow’s 2023 Connecticut Inauguration events, including the inauguration ceremony and the inaugural ball.

Governor Ned Lamont, Senator Richard Blumenthal, and Representative Joe Courtney today announced that the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) has awarded the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) $158.2 million through their competitive Bridge Investment Program (BIP) to accelerate the rehabilitation of the Gold Star Memorial Bridge northbound span between New London and Groton.
