STOP funds are currently being awarded to many different agencies and organizations across the state in order to support initiatives regarding sexual assault and domestic violence. Below are a few success stories from sub grantees.

Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence – Lethality Assessment Program (LAP)
With the help of STOP funding, the CCADV has been able to support programs such as the Lethality Assessment Program, the Law Enforcement Victim Advocate Program, Child Advocates, and Underserved victims. The underserved grant funds were used to advance work with the deaf/hard of hearing community, as well as hire a consultant to provide technical assistance and support on the legal rights for victims. Division of Criminal Justice – Domestic Violence Prosecutors
The Chief State’s Attorney’s Office uses STOP funding to help support three (3) full time Domestic Violence prosecutors. The goal of this project is to ensure offender accountability while providing services that recognize the concerns of victims and their families. This project focuses on a statewide, victim sensitive systemic response to prosecution of these crimes. Prosecutors are located in New Haven and Hartford. New Haven, as an example, has over 3,000 family violence cases each year and over 100 felony domestic violence convictions.
