(HARTFORD, CT) - On Thursday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman will join Mohegan tribal officials at a news conference, where plans regarding Mohegan Sun's new hotel will be announced.
In the evening, Governor Malloy and Lt. Governor Wyman will participate in a Connecticut National Guard send-off ceremony to honor approximately 35 soldiers of the Middletown-based 143rd Regional Support Group, who are being deployed to Afghanistan to provide command, control, and administration to all base life support operations, and approximately 55 soldiers of the Niantic-based 192nd Military Police Battalion, who are being deployed to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in support of detainee operations.
