THURSDAY: GOV. MALLOY SPEAKS AT STATE POLICE GRADUATION CEREMONY; RECEIVES HEALTHCARE AWARD FROM CONN. COMMUNITY PROVIDERS ASSOCIATION; MAKES ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ANNOUNCEMENT AT COLT BUILDING; HIGHLIGHTS BUSINESS EXPANSION IN ROCKY HILL

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Thursday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman will speak at the Connecticut State Police 122nd Training Troop graduation ceremony in Storrs. The troop's forty-two members, who've received over 1,400 hours of formal instruction, will take the oath of office as state troopers.

In the afternoon, Governor Malloy will attend the Connecticut Community Providers Association's 43rd Annual Meeting in Hartford, where he will receive an award for his efforts in advancing healthcare reform in Connecticut.

Following that, Governor Malloy will participate in a news conference to make an economic development announcement at the Colt Building in Hartford.

Later, Governor Malloy will join executives from SolarCity for an announcement on the company's plans to expand its presence in Connecticut and increase hiring. SolarCity is a national leader in clean energy products and services and provides homeowners, businesses and government organizations cleaner, more affordable alternatives.
