FRIDAY: GOV. MALLOY, LT. GOV. WYMAN, FIRST SELECTMAN LLODRA LEAD MOMENT OF SILENCE IN NEWTOWN
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Friday at 9:30 a.m., Governor Dannel P. Malloy, Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman and Newtown First Selectman Patricia Llodra, together with other local elected officials and residents, will convene on the steps of Edmond Town Hall in Newtown for a moment of silence in memory of the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
The officials will congregate on the steps at 9:28 a.m., with the moment of silence beginning at 9:30 a.m. During the memorial, bells from the nearby Trinity Episcopal Church will ring 26 times in memory of each life lost at Sandy Hook Elementary School. There will be no formal remarks given.
