THURSDAY: GOV. MALLOY HOLDS MONTHLY COMMISSIONERS MEETING; SPEAKS AT CONNCAN EVENT; KEYNOTES CT HISPANIC BAR ASSOCIATION DINNER

(HARTFORD, CT) - On Thursday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold his monthly meeting with the commissioners of each state agency. During the meeting, representatives from Magellan Health Services will give a presentation on ways to improve employment opportunities for veterans; Office of Policy & Management Secretary Ben Barnes will give a brief overview of the state budget; and Bureau of Enterprise Systems and Technology Chief Information Officer Mark Raymond will give a presentation on information technology advancements in state government.

In the evening, Governor Malloy will give remarks at the second annual ConnCAN Block Party, an event celebrating the passage of Connecticut's education reform bill.

Later, Governor Malloy will give the keynote address and receive the Achievement Award at the Connecticut Hispanic Bar Association's annual awards dinner in New Haven. The Governor will be the first non-Hispanic to receive this honor from the organization.
