GOV. MALLOY DIRECTS FLAGS TO HALF-STAFF IN RECOGNITION OF WISCONSIN TRAGEDY
Presidential Proclamation Orders Flags Down
(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy, in response to a proclamation issued today from President Barack Obama, has directed all U.S. and state flags in Connecticut to fly at half-staff until sunset on August 10, 2012, in memoriam of the victims of the tragic shooting in Wisconsin.
"Our hearts go out to the victims and their families as they cope with this terrible event," said Governor Malloy. "Connecticut stands with the rest of the nation in mourning this tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Wisconsin."
