THURSDAY: GOV. MALLOY SPEAKS AT SMALL BUSINESS MATCHMAKER EVENT; TOURS SEITZ MANUFACTURING IN TORRINGTON; HOLDS NEWS CONFERENCE ON URBAN VIOLENCE
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Thursday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will give welcoming remarks at the Connecticut Business Advantage 2012 Matchmaker Conference in West Hartford, where representatives of Connecticut small businesses will meet federal and state prime contractors to discuss growing business opportunities in the state.
Later, Governor Malloy will tour Seitz, LLC in Torrington and meet with its executives and staff. Seitz is a manufacturer of injection molded plastic components and has been located in Torrington since 1949.
On Thursday afternoon, Governor Malloy will hold a news conference in Hartford with New Haven Mayor John DeStefano, Hartford Mayor Pedro Segarra, Bridgeport Police Chief Joseph Gaudett and U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut David Fein to announce a plan to combat urban violence in Bridgeport, Hartford and New Haven.
