SUNDAY: GOV. MALLOY MEETS WITH FIREFIGHTERS LEAVING FOR VIRGINIA TO ASSIST U.S. FOREST SERVICE IN COMBATING WILDFIRES
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Sunday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will meet with a group of Connecticut fire fighters who are assisting with the U.S. Forest Service effort to combat wildfires.
What : Connecticut state fire crew (11 DEEP employees and 9 community firefighters) depart for Virginia to assist US Forest Service in fighting wildfires in Shenandoah National Park.
When : 8:00 AM
Where : DEEP Eastern District Headquarters, Marlborough
Directions to DEEP's Eastern District Headquarters: Take Route 2 to Exit 13. Follow Route 66 east approximately two miles. DEEP's Eastern District Headquarters is on the left side - 209 Hebron Avenue (Rte. 66) - with Smokey Bear sign in front
