GOV. MALLOY: RENEWABLE RESOURCES ESTABLISHING U.S. HEADQUARTERS IN CONNECTICUT
Company will Hire 50 by the End of the Year with Potential for Future Growth
(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy announced today that Renewable Resources Inc, a Scottish solar development company, will open its United States headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. The company plans to hire 50 employees by the end of this year, with the potential for future expansion.
The company said that the decision to locate its U.S. headquarters in Connecticut was based primarily on the clean energy programs offered by the state through its utilities, as well as the nation's first "Green Bank," the Clean Energy Finance and Investment Authority (CEFIA).
"I am pleased to see that the state's new approach to delivering cheaper, cleaner and more reliable energy is already returning dividends to the residents of the state," Governor Malloy said. "Having a company like Renewable Resources locate their U.S. headquarters in Connecticut is a sign that our effort to lead in the clean energy and energy efficiency sectors has the potential to drive job creation now and into the future."
Renewable Resources President Peter Chaitkin said, "We are pleased to open our company's U.S. headquarters in Connecticut. Governor Malloy has clearly demonstrated that Connecticut is open for business, and we are glad to be based in a state with such innovative programs and growth-focused leadership."
In the past year, the state has launched an entirely new approach to clean energy through programs such as the Zero Emissions Renewable Energy Credit (ZREC) and Low Emissions Renewable Energy Credit (LREC) initiatives, and new offerings from CEFIA that drive down the cost of clean electricity, leverage ratepayer dollars with private capital and create a stable investment environment for businesses in the clean energy field.
Renewable Resources is committed to providing clean energy solutions that allow home owners, businesses and organizations to lower their carbon emissions and generate additional income by investing in renewable energy technologies with minimal disruption to operations.
Renewable Resources (Energy Solutions) Inc ( www.renewableresourcesinc.com ) offers a wide range of renewable energy solutions in residential and commercial sectors. With the unique combination of expertise in both construction and photovoltaics, the team of system designers, energy consultants and installation engineers are able to identify the best product to suit the client's individual requirements.
