FRIDAY: GOV. MALLOY, FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL LEADERS OPEN NORTHBOUND SIDE OF NEW 'Q BRIDGE'
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Friday morning at 10:00 a.m., Governor Dannel P. Malloy will join federal, state and local officials, including U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal, Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro, New Haven Mayor John DeStefano, Department of Transportation Commissioner James P. Redeker, and others at a ceremony to open the northbound side of the new five-lane Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge on I-95 in New Haven - informally known as the "Q Bridge."
WEEKEND TRAFFIC ADVISORY : Construction activities to shift traffic onto the bridge's new northbound lanes will begin at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2012 and are expected to continue until 6:00 a.m. on Monday, June 25. Governor Malloy and Commissioner Redeker are urging all motorists to expect significant delays around the bridge throughout this weekend. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and consider using alternate routes, which are outlined on the Department of Transportation's website .

From the East
Take I-95 South to Exit 46 for Sargent Drive/Long Wharf Drive. Turn right at Sargent Drive. Turn right onto Canal Dock Road. At the light, take a left onto Long Wharf Drive. At the next light take a left onto Water Street. Proceed to the gate on the right across from Hamilton Street. Enter the gate where event staff will direct you to up onto the bridge for VIP parking.
From the West/South
Take I-95 North to Exit 46 Long Wharf Drive. Turn left onto Long Wharf Drive. At the second light, take a left onto Water Street. Proceed to the gate on the right across from Hamilton Street. Enter the gate where event staff will direct you to up onto the bridge for VIP parking.
From the North
Take I-91 South to I-95 South/New York City and merge onto I-95 South and follow the directions for "From the East."
