MONDAY: GOVERNOR MALLOY MAKES ANNOUNCEMENT ON PROPOSED BUSWAY; PARTICIPATES IN RIO MOVIE NEWS CONFERENCE; HOLDS TOWN HALL IN NORWALK
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Monday afternoon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold a news conference to announce his decision regarding the proposed New Britain-to-Hartford Busway. The Governor recently held a meeting at the Capitol with both advocates and opponents of the Busway to hear their thoughts on the topic.
Also on Monday afternoon, Governor Malloy will join Blue Sky CEO Brian Keane, Fox Entertainment Chairman and CEO James Gianopulos and MPAA Chairman Christopher Dodd for a news conference at the premiere showing of Rio at the Connecticut Science Center in Hartford. Rio is the first full in-state production by Blue Sky Studios since the company moved to Greenwich. The movie will be shown to a group of students immediately following the news conference.
On Monday evening, Governor Malloy will hold a town hall meeting in Norwalk, the fourteenth stop in his statewide series of 17 town hall meetings to discuss the state's pressing economic and budgetary issues face-to-face with state residents.
