WEDNESDAY: GOV. MALLOY TO ADDRESS CT COUNCIL ON DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES' 40TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION; HOSTS TOWN HALL MEETING IN NEW LONDON
(HARTFORD, CT) - On Wednesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will be one of several speakers addressing the Connecticut Council on Developmental Disabilities' 40th anniversary celebration in Cromwell. Current and former council members, staff, grant recipients, and elected and appointed officials will participate in the celebration. The Council was established by Governor Thomas Meskill in 1971 and engages in advocacy on behalf of people with developmental disabilities, their families and their communities.
Later Wednesday evening, Governor Malloy will host a Town Hall meeting in New London, the third stop in his statewide series of 17 town hall meetings to discuss the state's pressing economic and budgetary issues face-to-face with state residents.
