GOVERNOR-ELECT MALLOY ANNOUNCES POLICY WORKING GROUPS
Thought leaders will help gather input in specific policy areas
December 6, 2010
(HARTFORD, CT) - In a meeting with his Transition Team, Governor-Elect Dan Malloy today announced the leaders of his policy working groups. These groups, which are still being formed, will work with Policy Transition Team co-chairs Linda Kelly and Joe McGee to gather input in specific policy areas. Additional names will be added to the list.
"I have been gratified by the number and caliber of people who have agreed to join my Transition Team's efforts to plan for an administration which is forward-thinking and represents the direction in which I believe this state should go," said Governor-Elect Malloy. "The members of these working groups are thought leaders in their specific area of expertise and I know the suggestions and proposals they come up with will help us attract new jobs, keep the ones we have, while getting our fiscal house in order."
The Transition Team Policy Committee has been tasked with formulating and proposing ideas which require no new spending. The committee has also been encouraged to suggest ideas which would cut state spending. These ideas will be pulled together and given to Governor-Elect Malloy in the coming weeks.
