Filing Due Date Reminder

(Hartford, CT) – The Connecticut Department of Revenue Services (DRS) is reminding individual taxpayers of the upcoming state income tax filing due date of Tuesday, April 18, 2023. This year, the filing due date falls on a Tuesday because of the weekend and the District of Columbia’s Emancipation Day holiday, which falls on Monday, April 17.

Connecticut taxpayers have many options available for filing their returns, including popular third-party software. Additionally, they may file state income tax returns for free using myconneCT, the department’s new online portal. myconneCT replaces the Taxpayer Service Center (TSC) and is one part of a multi-year, multi-phase information technology modernization initiative.

"In addition to third-party software, myconneCT is another option for individuals to file their state income tax returns, providing easier and more accurate results than using paper forms,” Commissioner of Revenue Services Mark Boughton said. "We encourage taxpayers to file electronically to receive refunds faster and avoid delays in processing returns and payments."

As a reminder:
