COVID-19 Community Levels Update, March 24, 2023: The CDC has listed all eight Connecticut counties in the Low/Green category as part of its weekly Community Levels update. People who are at a high risk for severe illness should consider additional measures to minimize their exposure to COVID-19 and respiratory illnesses. Ill Food Worker Educational Campaign

The Food Protection Program completed a educational campaign to educate and provide posters to food establishments to decrease the occurrence of foodborne illnesses caused by food workers working while ill with vomiting and/or diarrhea. Certified Food Protection Manager

Most food establishments in Connecticut will be required to have a Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) depending on their classification. A CFPM certification program must be evaluated and listed by a Conference for Food Protection (CFP)-recognized accrediting agency to comply.
