Online Application Instructions

Applying for a Lead or Asbestos certification/license is now online at https://www.elicense.ct.gov/.

You will need to register your business with eLicensing. To do this, follow the instructions below:

  1. Go to https://www.elicense.ct.gov/ 
  2. Click on Register after Don't have account? below the Login button
  3. Click on Create Account after answering all the questions
    • Make note of your User ID and Password - you will need this to login to apply for your license
  4. You will be asked to verify your email. To do this:
    • Open the email sent to you by donotreplyelicense2@ct.gov
    • Click on the link in the email

 

    To apply for your license, follow the instructions below:

    1. Login to the eLicensing system
      • Enter your login ID and password noted in Step 3 above
    2. Click on Environmental Health Practitioners
    3. Click Start to the right of the license you would like to apply for
    4. Answer all questions
      • You will be asked to upload documents. Please have them available on the device you are using to apply
    5. Click the Add to Invoice button to pay the licensing fee
    6. Click on Pay Invoice 
      • When entering credit card information do not enter spaces or dashes
