DOH, CHFA HOSTING FOUR FORUMS FOR HOUSING DEVELOPERS
The Connecticut Department of Housing (DOH) Community and Housing Development unit, in conjunction with the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA), is hosting four forums across the state for housing developers.
The forums are intended for for-profit and non-profit developers, as well as housing authorities and municipalities to learn about department priorities, financial resources, and the process and timing involved with accessing DOH resources.
Commissioner Seila Mosquera-Bruno will be hosting the forums.
“At DOH, we want to do everything we can to support the development of affordable housing in Connecticut,” said Mosquera-Bruno. “We want to give developers an opportunity to talk directly to the people who can help them complete their projects, so we can get more housing online as quickly as possible.”
The forum times and locations are as follows:
- September 5 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at EdAdvance, 355 Goshen Rd, Litchfield, CT
- September 7 from 10 a.m. to noon at Lyceum, 227 Lawrence St, Hartford, CT
- September 8 from 10 a.m. to noon at Housatonic Community College, Lafayette Hall L109, 900 Lafayette Blvd, Bridgeport
- September 15 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lyman Allyn Art Museum – 625 Williams St, New London)
At these forums, developers, housing authorities and municipalities will have the opportunity to speak with DOH staff, ask questions and provide feedback. Those interested in attending can RSVP to aaron.turner@ct.gov.
