Warm Lines

Warm Lines are telephone support services staffed by people who have experience/expertise with mutual support. These lines are not crisis lines and the days/hours of operation vary. If you are looking for warm line employment, please contact the individual agency you wish to work for.

For general questions about warm lines, please contact Elsa Ward, MS, CAC, Director, (860) 418-6989, Elsa.Ward@ct.gov

Statewide  Telephone Recovery Support for Addiction
(Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery - CCAR)

The Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) provides Telephone Recovery Support (TRS), an innovative peer-to-peer telephone “check-in” service where callers can offer support, encouragement and information about resources that may help people maintain their recovery. Rather than a warm line number people can call into, recoverees can sign up by visiting the nearest CCAR Recovery Community Center or by signing up online. Calls are offered in English or Spanish from all five of CCAR’s Recovery Community Centers as well as their Young Adult and Family Program.
