Citizen Corps Program

Overview

The Statewide Citizen Corps Program (CCP) is a sub-program of the Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP). CCP funds are allocated and requested at the Homeland Security Working Group annually by the Statewide Citizen Corps Advisory Council (SCCC). These funds are used to support the annual goals and mission of the SCCC and provides funding for planning and training for the continued sustainment and growth of Citizen Corps (CERT and MRC) teams statewide.

Each DEMHS Region and Regional Emergency Planning Team has CCP planners who receive planning funds for the purposes of attending local, regional and statewide Citizen Corps Meetings, reviewing training and equipment applications, providing regional Citizen Corps status updates to the state and a variety of other planning tasks.
