DEEP headquarters at 79 Elm Street in Hartford has partially re-opened to staff and members of the public as of Tuesday, February 3. The DEEP records room has re-opened. The DEEP Central Permit Processing Unit (CPPU) will be open to the public starting on Wednesday, Feb. 4. For updates, click here

Hamden Farm Brook Flood Control System
NRCS Rehabilitation Project
The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection partners with the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) to maintain seven flood control systems in the state of Connecticut, including, the Farm Brook Flood Control System located in Hamden.  An assessment by NRCS of the Farm Brook Flood Control System revealed that sites 1, 2A and 2B do not meet their current design criteria and standards.  Therefore, a rehabilitation plan is being developed.
