There are three main types of environmental permits for projects that may affect our state’s natural resources, environment and human health: individual permits, general permits and permit by rule. If the activities involved in your project may have a significant impact on the state’s air, water or land, you may need to  apply for an individual permit that is tailored for your specific project.
