Baldwin Bridge State Boat Launch To Temporarily Close May 2-6

New ADA-compliant Floating Dock System To Be Installed, Alternative Public Boat Launches Available While Work Is Completed

(HARTFORD)— The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) announced today that the Baldwin Bridge State Boat Launch in Old Saybrook will temporarily close for renovations effective May 2, 2022 through May 6, 2022.

The renovation work includes disposal of the existing, deteriorated timber floating docks and the installation of a new Americans With Disabilities Act-compliant floating dock system.

While the renovations are taking place, boaters and anglers may utilize the following area boat launches, all in Old Lyme: Four Mile River, Great Island, and Lieutenant River. For additional State-owned boat launches, visit Boating and Paddling (ct.gov) or go here: Locate A State Boat Launch
