DEEP headquarters at 79 Elm Street in Hartford has partially re-opened to staff and members of the public as of Tuesday, February 3. The DEEP records room has re-opened. The DEEP Central Permit Processing Unit (CPPU) will be open to the public starting on Wednesday, Feb. 4. For updates, click here

Frances’ Fearless Women

Who’s your favorite heroine?  Which women inspire you?  From May 11 through June 10, in celebration of Frances Osborne Kellogg’s 142nd birthday, the Osborne Homestead Museum will be exhibiting some of the collections’ fearless women.  Learn about Massagetean Warrior Queen Tomyris, Chinese Goddess of Compassion Quan Yin, and other remarkable women.

The Osborne Homestead Museum, a facility of the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, is open for free guided tours on Thursdays and Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Sundays from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The museum is located at 500 Hawthorne Avenue off of Route. 34 in Derby.  For additional information call (203) 734-2513 or email susan.d.robinson@ct.gov
