Emergency Burn Ban In Effect 10/26/24 - An emergency burn ban is now in effect for all Connecticut State Parks, Forests, and Wildlife Management areas, prohibiting the use of all outdoor grills, firepits, and campfires, and the kindling and use of flame outdoors. DEEP and local agencies are working to contain several active fires across the state. Please avoid all affected State Parks and Forests, as well as the blue-blazed Mattabesett Trail. The Enduro Trail in Voluntown and portions of North Stonington within the Pachaug State Forest are closed at this time. Purpose of this Request for Information (RFI)

The purpose of this RFI was to gather public input to inform the preparation of guidelines for and structure of upcoming broadband infrastructure deployment programs to support statewide goal of attaining universal access to broadband.

DEEP issued a Q&A to answer questions received related to the RFI.

July 21, 2022 - DEEP held a public input session to share details of the RFI, answer questions, and gather your input on broadband technology, access, adoption, and coordination ahead of the state’s anticipated broadband infrastructure deployment programs. Watch the Recording or Download the Presentation.

May 17, 2022 - DEEP submitted a Letter of Intent to participate in the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment Program to the NTIA.
