ONG Museum of Art
"The Old New-Gate Museum of Art" is a dedicated exhibition space in the Museum’s Visitor Center, with works of art from the Community Partners in Action Prison Arts program. Powerful and personal pieces include colored pencil drawings from Cheshire CI artist James Pinder, as well as sculpture throughout the prison system, including a crocheted bacon-cheeseburger hat and a huge mountain castle made from 150lbs of soap. This exhibition of incredible art if a reflection of the humanity that exists in prison, and the themes surrounding criminal justice that transcend time.
