Consumer Protection Issues Summary Suspension for Planet Zaza in East Haven

The Department of Consumer Protection (DCP) has issued a summary suspension of the registration for Electronic Cigarette Dealer, Planet Zaza. An Electronic Cigarette Dealer (“ECD”) registration, issued by DCP, authorizes holders to sell, offer for sale or possess with intent to sell an electronic nicotine delivery system or vape delivery system.

Recall Notice: Sanctuary Kitchen Issues Voluntary Recall of Hummus Containing Undeclared Artificial Color Additives

The Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection Food and Standards Division (DCP) is warning the public that Sanctuary Kitchen of New Haven initiated a voluntary recall of its hummusdue to unlabeled FD&C Yellow #5 and FD&C Yellow #6, which can cause allergic or adverse reactions for people who have severe sensitivity to the additives.
