Long Island Sound Resource and Use Inventory/Long Island Sound Blue Plan Survey

RE: DOCKET NO. 258 - Sprint Spectrum, L.P. d/b/a Sprint PCS application for a Certificate of Environmental Compatibility and Public Need for the construction, maintenance and operation of a wireless telecommunications facility at one of two sites on Bantam Road, Litchfield, Connecticut.


The Connecticut Siting Council (Council) has scheduled a field review for Thursday, September 4, 2003, to visit the two proposed sites in this docket. Council members should meet at 1:45 p.m. in the parking lot of the Bantam Borough Hall, 890 Bantam Road (Route 202), Bantam, Connecticut, to carpool to the proposed site A to begin the field review at 2:00 p.m.

The Council will hold a public hearing on this docket on the same day in the Assembly Room of the Bantam Borough Hall, beginning at 3:00 p.m. and continued at 7:00 p.m.

Directions to the Bantam Borough Hall:

  • From Route 8, take exit 42, Route 118, west up the hill to the center of Litchfield

  • At the intersection with Route 202, follow Route 202 West (straight) past the Litchfield Town Green (on the left) and continue west on Route 202 past the Wamogo High School

  • Follow Route 202 past the intersection with Route 209 to the parking lot of the Bantam Borough Town Hall on the right

  • Directions to Proposed Site A

    • Take a right out of the Bantam Borough Hall parking lot and drive west

    • At the intersection with Goslee Road on the right, turn right onto Goslee Road

    • Directions to Proposed Site B:

      • Take a left out of Goslee Road on to Route 202. Proposed Site B is on the right approximately behind the Gooseboro Drive-in.
