West Hartford Line of Duty Death

It is with deep regret the West Hartford Fire Department announces the Line of Duty Death of Firefighter Patrick L. Brooks. Patrick was a 10 year member of the department and assigned to Engine Co. 5. Patrick was a highly respected member of the department. He was the department's Firefighter of the Year in 1995 and was awarded its bronze star twice for meritorious service. He served as President of IAFF Local 1241 for the past 6 years and represented the Union and its members with pride.

He leaves behind his wife Rita and their children Patrick, 14, Anthony, 11, and Christopher, 8.

Wake:

Friday, November 15, 2002: Hours: 1500-1700 and 1800-2100, Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Avenue, Windsor, CT

Funeral:

Saturday, November 16, 2002: 11:00 AM, St. Gertrude's Church, 550 Matianuck Avenue, Windsor, CT

Internment:

Mount Saint Benedict's Cemetary, 1 Cottage Grove Road, Bloomfield, CT
