Secretary Thomas Receives the Resignation of State Representative Dorinda Borer
(Hartford, CT) – Secretary of the State Stephanie Thomas today received the resignation of State Representative Dorinda Borer, effective at Noon on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023. The letter of resignation is attached to this release.
Under state law, the Governor has ten days from the occurrence of the vacancy to issue a writ of election to choose a successor in the 115th House district. That special election must be held on the 46th day after the issuance of the writ of election. Major party conventions must take place by 36 days before the special election.
