SECRETARY OF THE STATE DENISE MERRIL MAKES STATEMENT ON CHIEF OF THE MOHEGAN TRIBE MARILYNN "LYNN" MALERBA BEING APPOINTED U.S. TREASURER

A hearty congratulations to Lifetime Chief of the Mohegan Tribe Marilynn “Lynn” Malerba for being the first Native American appointed to the position of U.S. Treasurer. Having worked with Chief Malerba on a number of issues over the years, I have full confidence in President Biden’s choice and am proud to see him adding another dose of diversity from Connecticut to his administration. We should all take pride in the fact that Chief Marilynn Malerba’s signature will be appearing on U.S. currency. How about that?
