October Theme: Dyslexia Awareness Month

It's Dyslexia Awareness Month! Together, we can recognize the signs, empower students, and change the story of what's possible for learners with dyslexia. This October, we also celebrate Hispanic and Latino Heritage Month – honoring the voices, stories, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino leaders, advocates, and public figures who inspire progress in literacy and help shape a brighter future for all learners.

Libraries will also be able to borrow a curated collection from the State Library that they, in turn, can lend to the public. Books in this collection include the Dr. Dyslexia Dude series by Dr. Shawn Robinson, the Molly’s Great Discovery series by Krista Weltner, and the second edition of Dyslexia Advocate by Kelli Sandman-Hurley.
