Listed below are the state approved educator evaluation and support plans for the current school year. The plans are sorted alphabetically.
The newly revised CSDE Foundational Skills for Evaluators of Teachers training is designed to concentrate on the evaluator’s capacity to observe and analyze teacher performance and practice inherent in the CT Common Core of Teaching (CCT) and to provide supportive, high quality feedback to teachers.
Comprehensive Health Services and Sexual Health Services
Guidance and resources for increase adolescents' access to comprehensive health services and sexual health services.
The federal McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act requires all school districts to ensure access to public education for children and youth experiencing homelessness and ensure success in school once enrolled.
Most of the following Connecticut schools and districts are members of the League of Innovative Schools (LIS) and are engaged in Mastery-Based Learning. LIS is a regional professional learning community for secondary schools committed to educational equity, student-centered learning and ongoing improvement.
Organizations that support Mastery-Based Learning.
It goes by many other names, but Master-Based Learning is the term used in Connecticut.
Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP)
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's FFVP provides all children in participating schools with a variety of free fresh fruits and vegetables throughout the school day.
Healthy Food Certification (HFC)
Healthy Food Certification (Section 10-215f of the Connecticut General Statutes) requires that each board of education or governing authority for all public schools participating in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) must certify annually to the Connecticut State Department of Education whether the district will follow the Connecticut Nutrition Standards for all foods sold to students separately from reimbursable school meals.
