The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) provides reimbursement to sponsors of the Child Nutrition Programs for meals and snacks that comply with the applicable meal patterns and requirements and are served to eligible children. The USDA publishes the annual reimbursement rates for each Child Nutrition Program in the Federal Register. Reimbursement rates for the school nutrition programs and the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) are published in July. Reimbursement rates for the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) are published in January.
