Teacher of the Year Ceremony
Due to inclement weather, the Teacher of the Year Ceremony has been postponed to December 16, 2025 from 5-7pm. Doors will open at 4pm. The Ceremony will take place at the Bushnell Theater in Hartford, and the order of events will remain the same.

CT Fresh Ed Brand Standards Guide, Logos, and Templates

CT Fresh Ed is a unified brand representing all farm to school efforts across Connecticut. This initiative aligns with the state’s commitment to connecting children with fresh, Connecticut Grown foods through school meals, hands-on learning, and community partnerships. CT Fresh Ed provides a consistent and recognizable identity for local food efforts in educational settings. Standards Guide, Logos, and Templates

The CT Fresh Ed Brand Standards Guide (coming soon) includes:

  • logo specifications and approved formats;
  • color palette and typography guidelines; and
  • examples of acceptable and unacceptable logo use.

School food authorities must follow these standards when using the CT Fresh Ed logos.

Logos and Templates

The CT Fresh Ed brand and logo promote local food, healthy eating, and agricultural literacy. The logo and associated materials are designed to be inclusive and adaptable for use across various settings and audiences, including school food authorities (SFAs), farms, community partners, and educators. The brand supports efforts related to:

  • promoting Connecticut Grown foods on school menus;
  • enhancing nutrition education and farm to school programming;
  • supporting initiatives like CT Grown for CT Kids Week; and
  • building awareness of the benefits of local food systems.

Use of Logo and Branding

The CT Fresh Ed logo is authorized for use in a variety of settings, including but not limited to:

  • school menus (printed and digital);
  • internal and external communications, including email;
  • signage in cafeterias, classrooms, and gardens;
  • social media posts and promotional materials; and
  • flyers, newsletters, and public outreach.

All SFAs must adhere to the logo usage guidelines included in the CT Fresh Ed Brand Standards Guide. Consistent and correct use of the logo is essential to maintain the integrity of the brand and maximize its impact. Improper logo use may result in follow up by the CSDE to ensure compliance.
