OVA works to make sure crime victims are included and respected in Connecticut’s criminal justice system. We do this through:
- Investigation when crime victim rights are violated
- Public education about crime victims’ rights
- Collaboration with law enforcement and service providers
- Advocacy within the courts and legislative system
Our goal is to ensure that crime victims’ voices are valued across the state.
OVA was established in 1998.
