CT Keep Kids Safe - License Plate Grant:  There is currently no active solicitation for this grant program.  The FY 2026 Request for Application has closed.  When the next opportunity becomes available, it will be announced on the HHS Grants and Block Funding webpage, as well as the state’s procurement portal, CTsource Bid Board.

CT Keep Kids Safe Grant Program (CKKSGP)

Statutory Authority C.G.S 14-21f and 14-21g

The purpose of the CKKSGP is to provide grants to agencies, institutions or persons to conduct research, provide public education, establish outreach programs and enhance public awareness of safety issues with regard to children. CKKSGP funds may be used to coordinate, develop and implement new innovative community programs or expand existing programs that prevent unintentional injuries among children under the age of 18 and to support public education and outreach activities to increase public awareness of the prevention of unintentional injuries. Programs and services may include, but are not limited to, the following strategies: bicycle helmet campaigns; child occupant protection programs; child drowning prevention programs; scald burn and residential fire detection programs; research programs; outreach programs; and public awareness and educational programs.
