Eligibility and Application Information

Funds are awarded just to the Office of Policy and Management (OPM) as the primary recipient and are passed on to the Department of Correction as the sub-recipient.

The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) posts a yearly solicitation on their Grants Management System, GMS.  OPM reviews the solicitation and forwards it to the Department of Correction (DOC).  DOC and OPM collaborate in preparing the necessary application documents for submission.  The culmination of these documents result in a grant submission by OPM as the primary recipient.
