Federal Government Shut Down

In the absence of enacted appropriations for federal fiscal year 2013-14, on October 1, 2013, the federal government shut down. On October 17, 2013, federal agencies reopened following passage of legislation funding government operations through January 15, 2014. The information presented below outlines the impacts of the shutdown on state agency operations and was compiled prior to October 17.
