The Office of Health Strategy has reached an agreed settlement with Danbury Proton, LLC (Docket No. 23-32678-CON) allowing the organization to establish a $72 million proton therapy center in Danbury.

The Office of Health Strategy (OHS) has introduced a new notification to its Certificate of Need (CON) application process. The notification indicates to the public when OHS and a CON applicant have entered into confidential settlement negotiations.

The Office of Health Strategy (OHS) has reached an agreed settlement with Johnson Memorial Hospital (JMH) imposing a civil penalty of $153,500 for terminating labor and delivery services without Certificate of Need (CON) approval. The agreed settlement requires the hospital to fund a grant to support reproductive health, prenatal or postnatal care or other services related to childbirth in the hospital’s service area. 

The state’s Health Care Cabinet has appointed 21 community leaders from diverse backgrounds to serve on the Connecticut AHEAD Advisory Committee. 

The hospital system in Connecticut plays a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of state residents and is a vital contributor to the state's economy.  A high functioning health system geared towards improving health outcomes must focus on primary and preventive care and include efficient, safe and accessible hospital care.

The Guidehouse team will be conducting a series of in-person focus group meetings January 2025 to solicit input from Windham Community partners and the Windham Community at large.
