We help protect CT’s children

The Office of the Child Advocate (OCA) helps protect kids in Connecticut.
We make sure children are safe and have their rights recognized by:

  • Monitoring agencies
  • Checking on places that care for kids
  • Reviewing policies to ensure they work well
  • Teaching people about children’s rights
  • Investigating reports or complaints case-by-case

Our mission is to stand up for kids, so all children can grow up safe and strong.
