You can access Emergency Mobile Psychiatric Servies (EMPS) by dialing 211 and selecting “1” for “crisis,” or go to Mobile Crisis Intervention Services. The centralized number is accessible 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year.
This service provides emergency services including mobile response; psychiatric assessment; medication consultation, assessment, and short-term medication management; behavioral management services; substance abuse screening and referral to traditional and non-traditional services for any family with a child in crisis.
Urgent Crisis Centers: Four Urgent Crisis Centers are now available on a walk-in basis to families of children who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis but do not require emergency department level of care. They are strategically located across Connecticut and are operated by:
